Gerstner: the university template that speaks in posters

Gerstner is a university template for universities, colleges, business schools, and design schools that want a site as confident as their teaching. Huge Swiss poster headlines, black and white grounds, and live WebGL shaders give every page the presence of a printed prospectus.

Why Gerstner

  • Programme pages with level, faculty, fees, modules, entry requirements, and careers
  • Faculties, people, and research linked together, each with its own index and detail pages
  • Events and news with posters, authors, and topics, plus an RSS feed
  • Pages for admissions, applying, visiting, and campus life, with a static apply form ready for your form service
  • A mega menu filled from your content: programmes by level, faculties, projects, and the latest news
  • 12 live WebGL shader palettes for accent moments, with one per person and one per event type
  • GSAP motion: headlines wipe in under a bar and photos dissolve square by square, with Lenis smooth scrolling. One switch turns it all off, and reduced motion is respected
  • SEO-ready with Astro SEO, Sitemap, and RSS

Layout & Structure

A strict 12-column grid, full-screen sections, and tiny uppercase meta labels keep every page ordered like a Swiss poster. Grayscale photography is cut into squares that take the colour of the page, and the navigation turns white or dark to match the section beneath it.

Colour, your way

The site is black, greys, and white. Colour comes only from the shaders, so you choose where it lands. Pick one of 12 palettes or pass four colours of your own, and every shader follows.
